» Feature Writer Susan Cramer - Mason's Ironstone Blue Ascot

In response to Blue Ascot posted by videoman56:

English potter Charles Mason started his pottery in 1813. Early pieces included the backstamp "Mason's Patent Ironstone China." Due to financial difficulties, the molds and the name Mason's were used over the years by a variety of owners and in 1973, mason's was purchased by the wedgewood group. The name is still found on dinnerware, so your china can be as old as 1813, or a new as yesterday. Check out www.replacements.com for examples with PURCHASE prices.
